Modern Terminals has hosted 14 Form 5 students from its Project WeCan partner school, Cotton Spinners Association Secondary School, as interns for a period of three weeks in seven different departments including Corporate Affairs, Finance, Human Resources, Innovation, Operations, Engineering and Procurement, and Risk Management. By exposing the students to the workplace to experience a life at work, the programme aims to nurture their career aspirations.

At the closing ceremony, a student shared that “this was a great opportunity to understand the importance of team-work. I was impressed to see the kind of cooperation among colleagues in different departments to get all necessary works done in preparation for a typhoon signal number 8 which was expected to be hoisted soon.”

Modern Terminals is committed to youth development and this is among the many initiatives it has launched.
