The first Modern Terminals Apprenticeship Training Programme has been successfully completed and a recognition ceremony was held for the graduation of the first apprentice who joined our Hong Kong business unit in 2012. Mr. Jackson Hui and Mr. Luk Siu Fai, Senior Officers of Apprenticeship, and Mr. Mark Ho, Officer of Apprenticeship from the Office of the Director of Apprenticeship were invited to the ceremony as officiating guests. The programme provides apprentices with both theoretical and practical training on mechanical and engineering-related maintenance skills, useful for various kinds of equipment at container terminals. Apprentices also receive subsidies for their study at the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE).
