DaChan Bay Terminals Welcomes the New China Gulf Express (GCX) Service Enhancing Further Its Network

On 28 November 2017, the new China Gulf Express (GCX) Service has joined DaChan Bay Terminals with the maiden call of HAMBURG BAY. The terminals has added to its network two services covering Asia and the Middle East markets in two months which underpins the importance of its strategic location.

GCX service is operated by Gold Star Line Ltd (GSL), Korea Marine Transport Co Ltd (KMTC), Regional Container Lines (RCL), SM Line Corporation (SML) and T.S. Lines Ltd (TSL) with a deployment of six vessels of an average carrying capacity of 5,000 – 6,500 TEUs.

The service links emerging markets in South Asia, Southeast Asia and the Middle East, covering some ports along the “Maritime Silk Road”, and provides fast transit times.

GCX Service calls DaChan Bay Terminals every Sunday, following a port rotation of DaChan Bay - Port Kelang - Colombo - Karachi - Jebel Ali - Colombo - Port Kelang - Singapore - Xingang - Qingdao - Shanghai - Ningbo - Shekou - DaChan Bay.
