  • Assistant Corporate Finance Manager

  • The Role
    The job holder’s major responsibilities are to:

    Reporting to the General Manager - Corporate Finance, the job holder will support the financing initiatives for the whole MTL group by performing loan agreement review, loan covenant sensitivity assessment and other funding analysis. Besides, he / she will perform regular “Know Your Customer” and other bank loan compliance procedures. He / She will involve in corporate development initiatives by performing financial modelling and analysis, due diligence exercise and risk assessment; as well as providing corporate finance advisory service. He / She will assist in developing project proposal to Management Board and / or shareholders of the Company, and providing project management and transaction support. He / She will also engage in performance analysis of industry peers, besides other ad hoc assignments.

    The Person
    The ideal candidate should have / be:

    • University degree preferably in Finance or Accounting, professional qualification (CPA / CFA) is a plus
    • Minimum 5 years’ relevant working experience, experience in port and/or shipping industry is an advantage
    • Experience in financial analysis, in particularly cash flow projections and evaluation
    • Proficient in financial modeling / financial valuation
    • Experience in bank loan compliance and documentation
    • Exposure to merger & acquisition, preferably with exposure in PRC investment project, accounting and taxation
    • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua
    • Self-motivated and strong analytical thinking
    • Good communication, presentation and project management skills
    • Able to work independently and meet tight deadline


  • Manager, Financial Analysis

  • The Role
    The job holder’s major responsibilities are to:

    • Plan, review and analyze Hong Kong budget, forecast and 5-year plan, compile reports and analyzes for senior management
    • Identify potential risks and opportunities for management attention and actions
    • Develop and enhance the financial model for budget and forecast
    • Lead the review and analysis of Hong Kong throughput and container yard revenue
    • Support the Finance Manager in the review, reporting and analysis of the finances of the joint operating alliance
    • Lead projects and ad hoc assignments

    The Person
    The ideal candidate should have / be:

    • University degree in Finance/Accounting, professionally qualified accountant
    • Over 7 years relevant working experience, preferably with 3 years in a supervisory position
    • Strong in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
    • Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese including Putonghua
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Strong in communication and presentation skills
    • Experience in using SAP system preferred
    • Self-motivated, capable to work independently and meet tight deadline


  • Procurement Category Specialist

  • The Role
    Reporting to Procurement Manager (HK), the job holder will work together with different business end users to formulate and implement the procurement strategy for some pre-defined key spending categories or initiatives including civil, equipment and services contract under the established procurement governance, policy, procedures, process and guideline. He / She will also perform market sourcing for introducing new products and technologies to end users in quality improvement and cost saving purposes. He / She will have to structure regular review and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers.

    The Person
    The ideal candidate should have / be:

    • Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement or related discipline
    • Member of a recognized procurement or supply chain professional body will be an advantage
    • Minimum 7 years’ experience in corporate procurement and supply chain, especially contract tendering and award recommendation, experience in container terminal or logistics is advantageous
    • Develop procurement strategy and negotiate with vendors on procurement contracts by sound analytical ability
    • Experience in vendor management with key suppliers and contractors
    • Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese including Putonghua
    • Good presentation skills
    • Motivated and dynamic with uncompromising integrity


  • Manager, Store Operations and Material Control

  • The Role
    Reporting to HK Procurement Manager, the job holder’s major responsibilities are to:

    • Lead a team and supervise store operations by maintaining and executing store operating procedures and stocking policy
    • Manage day-to-day store related activities by using SAP and warehouse management system, including review and submit new stocking items creation, approve purchase request (PR), etc.
    • Schedule and follow up stock take results, and propose stock take adjustment
    • Handle shipping related issues, such as Tradelink account, Letter of Guarantee or Indemnity
    • Propose write off or scrap of materials and create disposal request
    • Ensure fuel station, storage areas, equipment and facilities license and compliance
    • Ensure safety and environmental compliance
    • Report store performance and set KPIs
    • Administer team rostering

    The Person
    The ideal candidate should have / be:

    • Degree in Procurement, Engineering, Business Administration or related disciplines
    • 7 years relevant working experience with 3 years in supervisory level
    • Solid experience in supervising store or warehouse operations
    • Experience in stocking material replenishment and inventory control
    • Experience in using ERP and warehouse management system
    • Experience in chemical storage and chemical waste handling is an advantage
    • Good command of written and spoken English, and Chinese and Putonghua
    • Valid Hong Kong driving license 1 & 2 preferred
    • Strong initiative, accountability and sense of integrity


  • Material Control Officer

  • The Role
    Reporting to Manager, Store Operations and Material Control, the job holder’s major responsibilities are to:

    • Ensure availability of stock materials, mainly electrical & mechanical parts, and fuel & lubricants
    • Control inventory level in accordance to Stocking Policy
    • Maintain stock materials master data
    • Analyze consumption record and formulate demand plan for stock materials
    • Coordinate with Equipment Maintenance and Procurement teams to plan for project demands and ensure timely arrival of stocking materials
    • Prepare inventory reports for management review

    The Person
    The ideal candidate should have / be:

    • Degree holder preferably in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management or related disciplines
    • 5 years relevant working experience in MRP and inventory control function
    • Strong numerical sense and forecasting skill
    • Proficiency in spreadsheet and SAP or other ERP system
    • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
    • Strong initiative, accountability and sense of integrity


  • Store Supervisor

  • The Role
    Reporting to Manager, Store Operations and Material Control, the job holder’s major responsibilities are to:

    • Organize a team of Storekeepers to operate the Store in an effective and safe manner by following the relevant company policies, procedures and guidelines
    • Ensure proper storage and transfer of stock materials, mainly electrical & mechanical parts, and fuel & lubricants
    • Ensure timely and accurate record of material movements in SAP and Warehouse Management System
    • Compile reports for month-end closing and stock take
    • Handle internal and external store related enquiries and documentations
    • Coordinate and monitor waste storage, disposal and collection

    The Person
    The ideal candidate should have / be:

    • Diploma or above
    • 5 years relevant experience in storekeeping or warehousing function
    • Experience in using ERP and WMS
    • Knowledge in electrical and mechanical parts is preferable
    • Conversant with PC and Microsoft Office application
    • Good written English and Chinese
    • Valid driving license 1 & 2 and forklift truck license preferred
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills


  • Legal Officer

  • The Role
    The job holder’s major responsibilities are to:

    • Assist in reviewing and advising on commercial contracts Handle company secretarial matters
    • Handle general commercial matters and other projects and assignments from time to time delegated by the General Counsel / Legal Managers
    • Assist in answering enquiries on legal issues from different functions and units of the Company
    • Conduct legal research
    • Manage the filing system of the Legal Department

    The Person
    The ideal candidate should have / be:

    • Bachelor of Laws or Diploma in Legal Executive or equivalent qualification
    • At least 3-4 years of relevant experience gained from a reputable law firm or legal sector, ideally has in-house legal experience
    • Knowledge and experience in handling company secretarial matters are advantages
    • Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese
    • Proficient in PC applications (Microsoft Office and Chinese Word Processing)
    • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, diligent, and a good team player


  • Senior Health & Safety Officer / Health & Safety Officer

  • The Role
    The job holder’s major responsibilities are to:

    • Monitor the implementation of company’s health and safety management system and ensure all relevant health and safety requirements are complied
    • Review and ensure the health and safety manuals, procedures, instructions and documents are updated
    • Drive to ensure the performance of employees and contractors complied with both mandatory requirements and company’s safety targets & standards
    • Plan, organize and conduct safety inspections and risk assessment
    • Co-ordinate and conduct incident investigation, analysis and provide recommendations for improvement
    • Act as the secretary of Departmental Health and Safety Committee and co-ordinate the committee meeting
    • Prepare monthly reports and accident analysis and carry out technical studies as assigned
    • Develop and organize health and safety trainings and activities/programmes
    • Handle emergency situations and provide support
    • Handle projects and deal with contractors, departments and authorities
    • Assist in supervising a team of officers to perform the duties as assigned

    The Person
    The ideal candidate should have / be:

    • Bachelor Degree in Occupational Safety & Health / Occupational Hygiene or related engineering disciplines
    • Registered Safety Officer with valid full driving license, Registered Safety Auditor is preferred
    • At least 7 years post registered (RSO) working experience in relevant field, preferably with knowledge of container terminal operations
    • Experience in supervising a team of staff
    • Conversant with PC and Microsoft Office application
    • Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese
    • Good leadership, communication and presentation skills
    • Good project planning and problem solving skills
    • Mature, self-motivated with good analytical skills


  • Security Supervisor

  • The Role
    The job holder’s major responsibilities are to:

    • Monitor and control day to day security operations delivering by contracted teams
    • Monitor security contractor performance by selecting and training on-site team member
    • Respond and investigate security incidents and emergencies
    • Assist in ensuring strict compliance of terminal safety rules
    • Conduct initial investigation and coordination with Risk Management and other technical units regarding safety incidents in order to avoid reoccurrence
    • Ensure proper execution of terminal’s Port Facility Security Plan
    • Assist in security training, awareness and education programs
    • Coordinate and liaise with internal (functions and departments etc.) and external interested parties (authorities and customers etc.)

    The Person
    The ideal candidate should have / be:

    • Diploma in security management or related discipline
    • At least 6 years experience in security practices and operations with 2 years in a supervisory level
    • Familiar with container terminal operations
    • Good knowledge of ISPS Code is an advantage
    • Conversant with PC and Microsoft Office application (Word and Excel)
    • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills
    • Willing to perform shift duty
    • Valid driving license (Classification codes: 1 & 2) with good driving record


  • Gatehouse Assistant

  • The Role
    The job holder’s major responsibilities are to:

    • Assist Gatehouse Officer in supervising day-to-day operations in gatehouse
    • Monitor the tractor turnaround time for all kinds of gate movements
    • Verify & execute dutiable e-permits, apply to C&E for removal of dutiable containers
    • Conduct container weighing and gas testing of Liquid Petroleum Gas cargoes
    • Monitor the performance of inspection contractor
    • Handle customer enquiries and requests via email and phone
    • Car-carrier operation
    • Handle all damaged containers
    • Laden and empty appointment
    • Empty return and collection arrangement
    • Repair Shop service
    • Responsible for C&E detained & dutiable issues
    • Hotline enquiry

    The Person
    The ideal candidate should have / be:

    • Degree holder in related discipline with 1 year relevant experience, or Diploma holder with 4 years relevant experience, or Form 5 or above with 6 years relevant experience
    • Valid driving license (classification codes: 1 & 2)
    • Knowledge of container terminal workflow and shipping documentation
    • Conversant with PC application
    • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua
    • Good communication and problem solving skills
    • Good team player, initiative and customer oriented
    • Willing to perform outdoor jobs on shift basis


  • Senior Operations Clerk (Gatehouse)

  • The Role
    The job holder’s major responsibilities are to:

    • Assist in gate operations including container weighing and inspection
    • Monitor gate movement
    • Handle shipping/car carrier documents and container appointment
    • Handle dutiable / detained / damaged / rejected container
    • Provide counter service for trucker
    • Process data in a timely, accurate manner
    • Handle hotline enquiry

    The Person
    The ideal candidate should have / be:

    • Level 2 or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE), or
    • Level 2 / Grade E or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent with 2 years clerical experience
    • Knowledge and experience in handling shipping document and terminal operations is an advantage
    • Conversant with PC and Microsoft Office application
    • Good written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese & Putonghua)
    • Good problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills
    • Good team player and customer oriented
    • Willing to perform outdoor jobs on shift basis
